The quarter ended and if all went well, I’ve still got my 4 point. I’ve got a couple of weeks off, and I’m developing a short list of stuff I want to do.

1) Edit my nano. Yes, I’ve decided to sign up for EdMo, which should be infinitely easier than WriMo

2) Install Ubuntu on Chiyo and get WINE to run. I’ll have to do .NET on the school’s computers, but that’s no biggie.

3) Start exercising – And that’s the big one

As many of you know, I have the “i read your e-mail” bumbersticker on Chiyo. I abosuletly love the reaction I get from everyone when I’m out in public. I was at the Beanery the other day, and I sat down and this older couple started talking about AOL’s security as soon as the laptop was out. I lawl’d

So, I bet a lot of you are wonder what is up in the world of Matt. Well, the sky, for one. Let’s get down to the nitty gritty

Work: It sucks and it’s there. Not a whole lot to mention there. I’ve been thinking about getting a new job, just because they’ve cut our hours so badly. The most notable thing to happen at work recently is moving Moo Juice around for 2 hours. That was a whole lot of suck.

School: School is also there, but doesn’t suck. Quarter 2 is almost over and barring me not going to any of my finals, I should pull a 4 point again this quarter. I applied for a lab consultant job at school, didn’t get it, but I’ll apply again when they do hirings again.

Poker: I think I agree with pro poker player Andy Bloch when he says that “Poker is a godless game, full of random pain.” I haven’t played in over two weeks. And I remember the hand that caused me stop playing for a while. I had pocket aces, and I was beat by 5-7 off suit. I still tilt a little when I think about it. I’ve decided to just stop playing for a while. So I cashed out my bankroll, bought a new messenger bag, a portable hard drive for Chiyo and a couple of video games.

I’ve also decided to start writing again,  I’ve got a couple of ideas bouncing around in my head, but I think I’m gonna go with the one that interests me the most. I don’t want to say what it is quite yet, because I want to get stuff mapped out and then decide if my ideas crap or not.

Beyond that, not a whole lot. It’s an exciting life I lead. Ohh well.
